A good way to set about exploring our region is to pick one of our selected themes!

With our B&B at La Bretesche nestling deep in the Valley of the Kings, there’s no better starting point for heading out, one day, to visit the many surrounding châteaux: Chenonceau, Amboise, Chaumont sur Loire, Chambord, Blois and let’s not forget Cheverny, Valencay, Montrésor, Loches, Montpoupon, Villandry, Azay le Rideau and of course Tours.

Another day, why not indulge in our region’s wines and good food? Don’t hold back on treating yourself to the myriad homegrown specialities this fertile land has on offer!

Michèle and Jacques also recommend taking the time to admire the natural environment of the Loire Valley, listed as a Unesco World Heritage: its breathtaking landscapes, walking trails and stunning gardens.
